Our Story
The Rugged Axe was founded by Charles Keith and Melinda Asprey.
We are the largest axe throwing venue in New Hampshire and the only one with food and adult beverages. Our mission was simple: bring something genuinely fun to the area for everyone, including kids 12 and up during family hours.
When you come in you are greeted by our front desk staff, a living room with a fireplace, and a photo wall built for that one picture everybody takes. Our coaches teach the throw and share the obsession. We pride ourselves on service, whether you walked in off South Willow Street, you are here for a league night, a private party or a corporate outing.
The facility is fully ADA compliant, eco-friendly and as waste free as we can make it.
The Owners
Co-Owner, Dreamer & Numbers Guy
Charles is a longtime resident of Goffstown, NH and has been in technology sales for over 15 years. Adventure, outdoor sports and family sum him up. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest gave him a jump in before looking attitude that somehow keeps landing on its feet. After a night of throwing axes he ran the numbers and said let's do this thing. A year later, here we are.
Co-Owner, Organizer & Practical Dreamer
Melinda grew up in Manchester, NH and now enjoys the small town feel of Goffstown. She has spent 20 years in technology, specializing in cyber security and fraud prevention. Friends, family, community, travel and the environment are her thing, and her goal is that everyone who walks through the door feels like family.
The Crew
Charlie, Kheagan, McKenzie, Rogan and Madeline make up our crazy brady bunch. You will see them around The Rugged Axe helping make your night the best it can be.
